This month, my husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. We also celebrated 13 years together. It's a thing of beauty to be married to the person you trust the most in the world.

Trust. The foundation of a meaningful life. Without trust, all you have is walking on eggshells. It is not how I choose to live my life, and the quality of my life is reflection of that choice.

Life is ease-full in the presence of trust.

There's a magnetic pull toward us when we are expressing our truth from the highest order intention for being here. There is no hiding, no pretense, and no drama. This way of living is reserved for the few who sense, deep in their bones, living authentically is freedom. If you’re curious about the how, hit reply and tell me what you’re bumping up against. When I look back at our photos from when my Jacob and I first met, I feel so youthful. Not simply in body, but in the way I perceived the world and myself within it. For years, I was seeking to discover something I had no words for. Turns out, what I was looking for is what it really means to know thyself.

Layer after layer of decloaking the truth of my experience to myself, I can fully recognize and appreciate: I have come a long, long way. The only reason my life is as rich in quality and luxurious in felt sense is because I was unwilling to live in illusion.​

Trust me when I tell you: freeing the beast (to discover it's not so scary after all) is, initially, fucking terrifying. It is hard work. In my experience over a decade of searching, it was impossible until I discovered a framework for how to make aligned choices.

As a trained researcher and social scientist, the reliability and replicability of the process immediately caught my attention. The work that we do is neither blind mysticism rooted in faith nor a linear process that relies on your ability to figure it out. Suffice it to say, I fell in love.

Because all of a sudden, I had the key to the “how” of living authentically that I was looking for. The trust I have in my body to reveal the truth and my capacity to receive it is unmatched. The people who know the feeling, even for a moment, know it to be the most addictive feeling of all. After all, how many of us desperately seek to live aligned but instead find ourselves anxious?

The difference between those who spend their lives searching and those who find what they're looking for is willingness to live it. To do that, we have to be willing to risk what’s familiar so we live an inspired life.

My inspired life stems from my willingness and ability to trust mySelf (this explains why). Trust the people I care about. Trust that the universe has my back. Trust that when I live aligned, I live a life of abundance.

This is not to say that I "feel good" all the time; quite the contrary: I feel more. In my world, that's a good thing! It's what allows me to see the full picture of what I'm seeking to create in my life, not just tunnel vision on what I think I should. Living in alignment with the truth of my experience is vastly different than living in alignment with what I had been taught to believe.

Creating an alternative lifestyle within the cultural context of our world is not easy. The path is not paved. You have to create it as you go. There's no certainty in it. No predictability, either. This terrifies most people, but it enlivens me (if only because I know exactly where the paved path leads).

The life I'm living is my calling. Trusting it is essential. It will always take more effort and consideration. It will come with a price.

Each path has it's own version of "the path of least resistance". The conventional path is paved by society so you can speed your way through to the other side. The aligned path can only be paved through your intentional choices. The outcome? That feeling of belonging in your own life. Like you're the protagonist, at the center of it all.

Literally as I am typing this, a family member walked through the door and asked my son how he likes school. Before hearing an answer, he proclaimed "I didn't like school either but you have to go. You don't have a choice. You can't stay at home all day." The timing of it couldn't be more perfect, since none of those beliefs are real in this household. But they are real in the minds of the people we share our lives with.

This interruption mentioned above is precisely why I choose to devote my life to helping women shift their beliefs about themselves. I know from first hand experience that when we discover who we are underneath all the cloaks so we wear, we create a life worthy of the godForce that we are.

Despite all the evidence to the contrary, I remain hopeful! I imagine a world where women trust the truth of their experience, and it lights me up! I imagine a world where women reveal the truth of their experience, and transform the reality they live in.

Ability can be developed.
The only question worth asking is: am I willing?
