There is a different vibration to connecting in person. Looking into the eyes of another - a window to their soul. It can feel intimidating. Not because it's a threat, but because it compels us to be authentic with ourselves.
That rare depth of intimacy leaves you feeling a little raw, a little vulnerable. There's an uncertainty to engaging because it feels too close to the bone. Too close to the pain. Too close to actual transformation (the thing we say we want yet are terrified to claim).
I created the Reclaiming Wholenessconversation in-person because I was craving a deeper experience. I wanted a more intimate dive into the truth of our own experience, explored together, out loud.
In this video, I share why these conversations matter to me, and what I’ve discovered about what happens when we’re willing to stay with them.
As I type that, I am mindful of the ways in which being in the presence of other women can feel distrustful. It's like we know that evolution is only possible outside of the closet, yet we keep believing that we are alone in the depth of our shame - often unnamed.
The years of working with women have shown me: we are not alone. The massive internal shift we are seeking becomes possible when we unleash the truth of our experience in the context of safety. Often that is possible within the group.
It takes courage to trust yourself and the group. It takes courage to trust the truth and staying with it. It takes courage to be yourself, in the company of others.
It takes courage to give voice to the inner truth you carry. And you can only do that if you feel safe in poking the sleeping bear you don't want to poke.
Intuitively, we all know: I cannot change my life if I don't change the conversation I have in my head. Because those conversations shape the life you live. In my twenty years of searching, I have come to categorically conclude: when I don't make peace in my own mind, I cannot make peace with my life.
So if you want to make peace with your life, integrating whatever fear you might have around owning the truth must be outweighed by your desire to live in and from the truth.
This is why five women will devote ourselves to two full days immersed in the intimacy of being together, in the flesh. The cocoon is powerful, because you are held in safety the whole time. It allows you to be with the truth the whole time. More than anything, it's powerful because you bear witness to others choosing to reclaim their wholeness - and in that, your fear dissipates.
The magic isn't just the content of what we explore.
The magic is in the process of women witnessing women. Seeing yourself through another woman. Hearing something you haven't been able to say but when someone else does, it opens up trust in you. The group is not accidental -- it is the point.
Telling my truth out loud in the presence of others is an act of transformation.

Imagine a world where your courage is greater than your fear... who will you have become?
Personally, I'm ready to go where the conversation leads us. I don't have an agenda but I have an unwavering intentionality.
I'm ready to give voice to the internal restraints that keep each of us captive to a reality that no longer serves.
We have a really good group that is gathering, and we have room (literally) for one more woman. If that's you, hit reply to explore if this upcoming in-person experience is right for you. After we talk via Zoom, we'll both know.
Either way, I am deeply excited for this exploration of the conversations we avoid, because I know what becomes possible on the other side of integration. And there is something particularly magical about gathering in the Boreal forest in mid-October, when the air turns crisp, the trees begin to let go, and the firelight softens the edges of the evening. The space where we will gather is beautiful, too.
If you find yourself having the same conversations, the same frustrations, the same familiar loops, perhaps it's time to explore what becomes possible when you approach them differently.
