The fresh, crisp air today is feeling rather familiar. As I look out my office window, I see the beautiful leaves changing; their colours are so spectacular it's sometimes hard to remember they were ever green.

Typing that reminds me of the shifts in my life.

I am so different from when I started the WEL-Systems® journey. Who I have now become is so unrecognizable from that version of me that it's hard to remember her sometimes.

I love her, dearly. Despite the evidence to the contrary, she never gave up on herself. She knew her life held more than what was immediately in front of her, more than what others permitted her to imagine.

Because of her persistence, tenacity, and unwavering commitment to becoming herself, I am here, living the richness, freedom, and aliveness that belong to all of us by birthright.

But the cultural conditioning that we have all been exposed to teaches us from a very young age to give up on ourselves. To capitulate our well-being to the stories we internalize as real.

... What if they're not? What if you're living your life steeped in illusion? How would knowing that make a difference to the quality of your life?

In our world, we stay in the tough conversations not because we like to torture ourselves, but because doing so frees us from holding on to illusions that feel real. Which means we no longer have to organize our lives around what isn't true.

After all, the reason we struggle is because we don't know what's true and what's not inside our own minds.

In my email to the group that is gathering for Reclaiming Wholeness: Owning the conversations we avoid, I wrote:

"As I gather resources for our time together, I am mindful of the lightness that's available to us as we reclaim that which we call "dark." I don't have to take serious things seriously, comes to mind. Yet how many of us do? And there are consequences to that.

I wonder if, as we approach our time together in the flesh, we intentionally chose to pay attention to the places and spaces where we clamp our teeth, hold our breath, or coalesce energy rather than invite and allow it to flow.

In that simple act of paying attention, we might discover the hidden treasures the energy is seeking to reveal. Because all of us here know: when we give voice to the unspeakable, our lives transform.

I am stoked to be in this experience with each of you. There is something special about being in person. Hearing each other breathe, laugh, rejoice -- the whole thing!"

We are going to explore the conversations that matter. The ones that make a difference in how we experience ourselves, our loved ones, and our reality.

The truth is that this experience isn't for everyone. It demands a willingness to let go of what no longer serves in order to discover how to create an intentional life mindfully. That's what the conversations are going to be about. They can be terrifying when you want to hold on to what you know, and they are life-giving when you experience what else is possible.
